Outreach
@ First Baptist

The
Outreach program at the First Baptist Church has evolved
into three distinct parts:
1. We help people through our local American Baptist of Connecticut
organization.
2. We choose national programs to sponsor with monetary gifts.
3. We sponsor hands on mission trips for people of all ages.
Through hands-on locally run missions, we sponsor
trips such as:
La
Romana, Dominican Republic - hospital work crews and Batey clinic teams
Dawson, West Virginia - church building and widows and orphans help
Les Ceyes, Haiti - school building, church buildings, community outreach, and
pastoral support
Orange, Texas for Hurricane Ike relief
Pass Christian, Mississippi - helping to rebuild after hurricane damage
Wallingford Emergency Center - clean-up, cooking, and night watch duties
Union Baptist Church - building projects
We give monetary donations to such organizations as:
• World Vision
• Teen Challenge
• Joshua Scott Ministries
• Straight Ahead Ministry
• BEM
• Wallingford Emergency Shelter
• Union Baptist of East Killingly
• Heifer International
• And many others…
Through our American Baptist Missions offerings we sponsor:
